OO.o 1.9.x milestones packages as RPMs are available intermittently through red-carpet; simply point red-carpet at http://red-carpet.go-ooo.org/.

November 8th - German hackers guide

Christian Junker of Trees For Life fame, just finished a beautiful German translation of the hackers guide, [ for those that can't read the comments in the code ].

September 30th - Japanese hackers guide

Yukiharu Yabuki just up-loaded the Japanese translation of the hackers guide; a great piece of work.

September 22nd-24th - OOoCon

A great time for meeting the other developers, albeit for rather too short a time, and enjoying discussing various directions for the future of OO.o & seeing some of the great work that has been done for 2.0.

July 9th - CWS tooling

It is now possible to create a CWS with an ordinary OO.o CVS account.

May 5th - CVS rename

To reduce the (potential) confusion, the CVS module 'openoffice' has been end-of-lifed, and new commits will go to the 'ooo-build' CVS module; this better reflects it's role, and package name.

March 29th - Usable IssueZilla front-end.

To compensate for the grotesque usability nightmare that is IZ, a more useful link-set page can be found here; or just hit 'New' to the right.

Feb 24th - CWS data browsable.

The CWS browsing interface (EIS - Environment Information System) by Joerg went live here - great.

January ~7th - More Novell engineers.

Ramesh Babu is working on community development and QA, Raul Siddhartha will be fixing up our web tools before moving onto the core, Vivek will be helping build packages of everything, and of course Krishnan will continue juggling spinning plates & managing things.

November ~24th - OO.o hacking bounties.

Novell announces desktop integration and tweaking bounties here.

October ~25th - Novell add engineers.

Novell are devoting more great people to working full time on OO.o, please welcome Anil Bhatia, Jayant Madavi & Amit Shoivake as they transition to the team.

September ~30th - RedHat hire DanW.

As above really, Dan Williams will be hacking on OO.o under a Red-Hat full-time - which promises to be great news for everyone.

September 5th - More magicpoint help.

Consultations with Nat revealed the existence of the carefully concealed 'Master View' button, updated the MGP users guide.
